ENGLISH 083 AND ENGLISH 084, COLLEGE READING LAB

A sixteen week or seven week (Spring/Summer) lab course designed to improve reading skills at all levels. Students work with programmed materials, comprehension kits, audio-visual programs, and teacher-prepared materials to overcome problems in spelling, comprehension, vocabulary, and reading rate. Individual diagnosis of problems and weekly conferences with a reading instructor. Evaluation based on attendance and improvement at end of course. Not a substitute for any other English at HFCC.
